ABOUT

Diana Weynand
Adventurer in Charge
B.M.Ed., M.M. Ed., M.M.A.
I'm an adventurer at heart — whether sailing into open seas, exploring new creative frontiers, or guiding others to trust their own inner compass. That thread runs through everything I do.
My path has been anything but straight, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Three degrees — in Music Education and Media Arts — led me to the craft and industry of visual storytelling, where I spent thirty years at the cutting edge of film and television production. As a producer and director, I earned an Emmy citation for the PBS series Cinematic Eye — which also received an Ohio State Award. As Supervising Editor for the Barbara Walters Entertainment Specials, I edited her interviews of some of the most iconic figures of that time: President Reagan, Katharine Hepburn, Fred Astaire, Paul Newman, and many others. I went on to author more than twenty books and develop global training programs that helped professionals bring their creative visions to life.
The principle behind all of it: take something complex, find the clear path through it, and hand that path to someone else. I call it cracking the marble. It shapes everything I do.
As a writer and teacher, I developed "Inner Ink: Crafting Personal Stories" — a five-week workshop built around a repeatable methodology that helps writers at every level transform lived experience into compelling personal narrative. I also coach individuals as they shape their memoirs and personal stories. Hand on the Helm, my emerging work, explores intuitive leadership — for anyone who has ever been called to lead without a map.
Playing professional women's tackle football taught me some of the most important lessons of my life — about courage, resilience, and what becomes possible when you stop playing small. I wrote about it in Lipstick Football: 8 Game-Changing Principles to Bust Through Limitations and Achieve the Impossible — and built the Lipstick Football Method from the hard-won wisdom of that field.
Music is another language I live in. As a singer-songwriter and composer, I've had original songs placed on TV dramas, independent films, and YouTube series, and I've produced numerous showcases in Los Angeles celebrating local singer-songwriters. Visit dianaweynandmusic.com to hear more.
And always, there is nature. Sailing, kayaking, hiking — time in nature restores me — and reminds me what matters. As a Climate Reality Leader and Chair Emeritus of a local environmental chapter, I've been recognized as Environmentalist of the Year, Woman of the Year, and led an organization honored as Nonprofit of the Year. I remain committed to living with purpose and protecting what I love.
Whether I'm coaching, writing, teaching, or speaking, my goal is always the same: to help us all – dare more and keep rising.
As Helen Keller said,
"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all."
I choose adventure. I choose to dare.
